I'm a graphic designer who also loves fibre arts like needle lace and weaving. I tried weaving for the first time as an elective in college when I was getting my graphics training in the 1980's.
Between 2008 and 2011 I discovered that it is possible to weave a jacket all in one piece with no seams. The posts in this blog from October 2010 till May 2011 document the process I went through to find that out.
In November 2012 I started again with a new concept for assembling an all-in-one-piece woven jacket. This time I have added the challenge of learning to spin and spinning the yarn for the jacket.
